Impressive Oldenburg Main Premium Winners
Two upcoming stars, Grey Flanell and Chaccato, are this year’s celebrated Oldenburg main premium winners. This award, offered to four-year old OLD-stallions, honors not only their development under saddle but also their performance in breeding. Many factors plays a role in the decision such as the stallions development in sport, his results at the stallion performance test and, above all, the quality of his first inspected offsprings.
In the dressage sector, the prestigious main premium went to Grey Flanell, born 2010, by Gribaldi/Trakehner-Clavecimbel-Ferro, bred by A van der Goor from the Netherlands and owned by Gestüt Bonhomme in Werder, located just outside Berlin. He was already highly praised when licensed at the Oldenburg Staslloinsshow in Vechta 2010 whereGrey Flanell was sold at the Stallion Market to Gestüt Bonhomme. Here the talented colt developed nicely and drew a lot of attention when he won the Pavo Cup in the Netherlands in the class for four-year old stallions. Grey Flanell’s first crop was phenomenal. Nine of his foals were admitted to the 2014 Elite Auction in Vechta and every single one changed hands for five-digit sums.
The second main premium for stallions with emphasis on dressage was awarded to Follow Me, born 2010, by Fürstenball out of Cariana by Donnerschwee-Alabaster, bred by Jürgen Fetzer from Zimmern and owned by Dressurpferde Leistungszentrum Lodbergen in Löningen. He was the Oldenburg Champion Stallion 2012 and the year after he passed his 30-day test in Schlieckau with an outstanding score of 9.29 in dressage with an overall score of 8.32.
Follow Me went on winning the State Championships in the class for three-year old stallions at the Oldenburg State Show in Rastede.
Third place went to Belissario, born 2010, by Belissimo M-Sandro Hit-Langata Express xx-Pik Bube I, bred by Aloys and Christian Hinxlage from Garrel and owned by Zuchthof Kathmann in Hausstette. Belissario took the 70-day test in Schlieckau which he finished with a score of 7.73 in dressage and an overall score of 7.71.
Chaccato, born 2010, by Chacco-Blue out of Stamyta by Stakkato-Mytens xx, bred by Prof. Dr. Karl H. Böhm from Hannover and owned by Zuchthof Klatte in Lastrup, received the main premium awarded by Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg-International. This course athlete did an excellent job at the 30-day test in Neustadt/Dosse. A final score with emphasis on jumping of 8.93 as well as an overall score of 8.17 speaks for itself. Chaccato has already celebrated his first victories at A level tests for young show jumpers.

Two very "Classy" VTV Hengste.
Every year the Insurance Compagny Group VTV gives out the "VTV" prize to the best elder stallion, who in the year before has achived outstanding results in breeding as in sport Dressage / Jumping.
The VTV winners are revealed during the eveningshow: die Althengstparade and this year's dressage VTV- prize went to gold chestnut Floriscount by Florencio-Donnerhall-Walldorf, breed by Clemens-August Graf von Merveldt in Vechta in 2005. His sports achivements include among others the qualification for the Finals in the Nürnberger Burgpokal presented by Oliver Oelrich.
Floriscount has untill now sired 8 licensed stallions and 65 registrated and succcesfull sportshorses. The impressiv Floriscounts son and former auctions highlight at the foal auction 2010: Future Star won this summer superior the Oldenburger Landesturnier with 8,8 ridden by Carolin Bradt. Future Star is breed by Ann-Kitchel, USA.
The titel s the VTV Jumoing stallion went to Chap I born 2004 by Cellestial-Contender-Ansas at Schmidt Gbr. in Neu Benthen. Chap won his performance test with a jumping index of 152,13 Meanwhile his breeder, owner and rider has continued develouping Chaps talent and 2014 they obtained good results in international show jumping on S Level. This year Heiko Schmidt and Chap I were also on the winning team in the German Nations Cup in Brtislava.
Chap has already 4 licensed sons and arround 40 registrated sportshorses with result in jumping untill M Level Jumping.
